Nanotechnologies: Where should they take us? Have your say

GRÄTZEL CELL KIT

A Grätzel Cell is a solar cell made using nanomaterials. There is a kit you can buy developed by the Institute for Chemical Education (Model: ICE No. 98-001). Solides website provides background information, including articles that explain in detail the Grätzel cell: http://www.solideas.com/solrcell/ICE_98_001_NanocrystalllineSolarCellKit.html

Solides does not manufacture nor sell the kit, but their website provides a lot of useful information in it. This kit is very useful for school activities as the Grätzel Cell is a good example of how nanomaterials can be used in energy applications.
