Role play game # 8- the internet of things

This is a card game workshop in which participants will work in groups presenting different opinions of stakeholders' with regard to nanotechnology dilemmas (ELSA). The objective of the game is to discuss and debate the ways in which nanotechnology might affect their lives; discuss and debate the potential of nanotechnology (from stakeholders' opinion) beyond its current applications; present opinion/arguments (based on knowledge) on nanotechnology dilemmas and whether it would be to the benefit for humankind. The topic of this card game is "the internet of things"


The NANOYOU project aimed to increase young people’s basic understanding on nanotechnologies (NT) and to engage in the dialogue about its ethical, legal and social aspects (ELSA) through a strong school program for students aged 11-18 and a wide range of activities in Science Centres for those aged 18-25

About nanopinion

  • nanopinion is an EC-funded project bringing together 17 partners from 11 countries with the aim of monitoring public opinion on what we hope from innovation with nanotechnologies. The project is aimed citizens with a special focus on hard-to-reach target groups, which are people who do not normally encounter and give their opinion nanotechnologies at first hand.
  • Dialogue is facilitated online and in outreach events in 30 countries presenting different participatory formats.
  • To promote an informed debate, we also run a strong press & social media campaign and offer a repository with more than 150 resources.
