Nanopinion travels to London and Brussels to start organising events!

Fri, 17 May 2013

NanOpinion has recently organised two workshops in London and Brussels to train the institutions who will be in charge of organising more than 30 events in 30 different countries.

A Training Workshop for some of the NanOpinion partners took place in London on the 10th-11th April. The attendees included 5 project partners and 7 museums who are involved in the project via the European Network of Science Centres and Museums ECSITE, with a total number of 16 people. The main purpose of the workshop was to introduce various outreach mechanisms and activities that have been designed by nanOpinion for the different institutions to organise events in more than 30 countries. The events will have different formats: Mobile Opinion Stations, Street Labs, Participatory Workshops and Live events.

On the 19th-23rd April the first workshop for the team of teachers’ coordinators who participate in Nanopinion took place in Brussels to promote outreach and dialogue on nanotechnologies in formal training and school settings. The aim of the meeting was basically to discuss their tasks for the future, present the activities and get them to know the project better.

This meeting in Belgium was the first step in the innovative educational programme for schools which is a part of Nanopinion project. This event will be followed by five National workshops to be organized in October, simultaneously in different countries, and eleven online workshops in September to follow-up, when educational materials will be developed and teachers will be already familiar with the projects and objectives.
