As a part of the NanOpinion Educational programme, this EC-funded project has launched a competition aimed at school teachersandtheir students. The purpose of this contest is to engage all high schools pupils who have been studying nanotechnologies to communicate their conclusions through arts. The means they can use range from painting, producing a 3min video, composing a song, making a sculpture, etc. The contest was launched on the 31st of January and will end on the 15th of April 2014. The three winners will be awarded with aNanoTool Kit Box as a prize.

The group competition is divided into two categories according to the age of the participants: the first category is for groups of students aged between 13 and 15; the second one is intended to students between 16 and 18 years old. A third winning group will be chosen among all the participants selected by a public choice methodology looking at the engagement that their piece of art has gathered on our social media channels. The best artworks will be evaluated by a European Grand Jury to choose one winner in each category. The third winner will be chosen publically through the official NanOpinion Facebook and Twitter pages. The criteria will take into account the number of likes and shares that the entry has been able to collect on Facebook, and the number of mentions and retweets reached on twitter. Therefore, participants are encouraged to share their creations through social media mentioning @nanopinion on Twitter or @nanochannels on Facebook to become the best NanOpinion ambassador!

The entries will be submitted through the microsite devoted to the competition in which participants can easily access through the link on the education section or clicking the banner of the homepage. Teachers will be in charge of submitting their students’ entries until 15 April 2014, by midnight GMT. Every participant will receive a certificate of participation which will be sent by email to all accepted participants.
